Jon is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist in Scottsdale, AZ since 1975, and a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR) and the Society of Interventional Radiology (FSIR). After training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, he arrived in Scottsdale and began practice at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital (now HonorHealth-Osborn). A founding member and the managing partner of Scottsdale Medical Imaging, LTD (SMIL), he was past chairman of the radiology departments of each of the HonorHealth Hospitals, and past president of the medical staff at Scottsdale HonorHealth. Jon was president of the Phoenix and Arizona Radiologic Societies and an officer in the American College of Radiology, a Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of Arizona School of Medicine – Tucson, served on the editorial boards of several scholarly journals, and has authored more than 130 publications in the medical literature.
Dr. Levy has written extensively about the adoption of new imaging modalities into the non-university hospital environment, installed the first full body CT scanner in an Arizona hospital, the first MRI in Arizona, and the third digital subtraction angiography system in the United States. During his clinical research, he partnered with various equipment manufacturers, including Siemens, General Electric, Philips and ADAC in developing new imaging systems. Jon was born at Doctor’s Hospital in Manhattan and was raised in North Bronx, where he graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. A graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, he went on to a Radiology Internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and a Radiology residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. After two years of service in the US Army Medical Corps, Jon made his way to Scottsdale.
